SHIELD has a flexible hierarchy system to allow configuration to match the user company operating structure.
Global rules and setting are set at the required Company level, with equipment and assets stored at the required Unit level. All levels in between (orange below) are optional and can be configured as required.
Company
This is a required level and allows settings and configurations to be set globally for all units and assets.
Examples of data stored at this level include:
- Company Name
- SharePoint Site Name
- Azure AD user group
- Units of measure
- Company calculated minimum corrosion rate
- Company calculated minimum time between CML readings
- Default minimum thickness values for piping and atmospheric storage tanks
Business Unit
Optional level to allow for grouping of lower hierarchy assets and dashboard filtering.
Area
Optional level to allow for grouping of lower hierarchy assets and dashboard filtering.
Site
Optional level to allow for grouping of lower hierarchy assets and dashboard filtering.
Unit
This is a required level and allows settings and configuration to be set for this specific unit. By default, all setting will match the globally set values.
Assets and equipment will be grouped to a unit and examples of data stored at this level include:
- Unit Name
- Unit Code
- Startup Date
- Hierarchy levels
- Manager Name
- Unit calculated minimum corrosion rate
- Company calculated minimum time between CML readings
- SharePoint Folder Directory
- Unit Active/Inactive
Additionally, file attachments can be stored that are relevant for the unit.
These may include:
- P&ID’s
- PFD’s
- Plot Plans
- Heat & Material Balances
